MARTA Commissions Georgia’s Largest Solar Canopy

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Georgia's largest solar canopy at the Laredo Bus Facility in Decatur, Georgia. The project incorporated 4,906 panels and will protect the environment the same way as plating more than 285 acres of trees a year. PES provided the structural design of an open-air canopy system supported on drilled concrete pier foundations. This is the third solar project PES has recently completed.
